Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information robertoiriondo.com (the "site") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Roberto Iriondo ("I", "me"). If you have a question about it, email [email protected].
1. Information you give me
When you send a message through the contact form, I collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to add it
- The subject you select and your message
- That you agreed to this policy
If you email me directly, I receive your email address and whatever you include in the email.
2. How I use it
I use this information only to:
- Read and reply to your message
- Follow up about a possible or ongoing engagement you asked about
- Keep a record of our conversation
I do not sell your information, rent it, or add you to a mailing list. I only contact you about the inquiry you sent.
3. Services that help run the site
A few trusted services process information on my behalf to run the site. Each one has its own privacy policy.
- Formspree receives contact form submissions and delivers them to my inbox. It also filters spam. Formspree privacy policy
- Cloudflare delivers the site quickly and protects it from attacks. It processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type, and it hides email addresses on the page from spam bots. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Namecheap hosts the site. Like most web servers, it keeps standard logs (IP address, pages requested, date and time) for security and troubleshooting. Namecheap privacy policy
4. Analytics and cookies
The site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, such as which pages are viewed, how people arrive, and the general region and device type. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. I use these reports only in aggregate to improve the site. I do not use them to identify you.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. You can read how Google uses this data in Google's partner sites policy.
The site also saves a copy of its own files in your browser so it loads faster and works offline. This copy contains only the site's pages, styles, and images, not personal information.
5. How long I keep it
I keep contact form messages and emails for as long as I need them to respond and follow up. If we work together, I keep them for the length of the engagement and as long as needed for business records or legal obligations. After that, I delete them. You can ask me to delete your messages sooner (see section 7).
6. How I protect it
The site uses HTTPS, so information you send is encrypted in transit. Form messages go to a private, password-protected email account. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what information I have about you
- Ask me to correct it
- Ask me to delete it
- Object to or limit how I use it
- Receive a copy of it
To make a request, email [email protected]. I will reply within 30 days. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also contact your local data protection authority.
8. International visitors
The services listed in section 3 may store and process information in the United States and other countries. By using the contact form, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country.
9. Children
The site is meant for business visitors and is not directed at children under 16. I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent me information, email me and I will delete it.
10. Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, GitHub, and companies I have worked with. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
11. Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I will update it on this page and change the effective date at the top.
